Frequently asked questions
Which format should I choose?
JPG is best for photos and works everywhere. PNG keeps transparency and sharp edges for logos and screenshots. WebP and AVIF create much smaller files for websites; AVIF is the smallest but slower to create. ICO is the icon format used for website favicons and Windows.
What happens to transparent areas when converting to JPG?
JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Choose PNG, WebP, AVIF or ICO if you need to keep transparency.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Every conversion happens inside your browser and your files never leave your device.
Can I convert WebP to JPG?
Yes. Add your WebP images, choose JPG as the output format and download the results. The same works for PNG to JPG, JPG to WebP, HEIC to JPG and other combinations.
How do I make a favicon (ICO file)?
Add a square logo, ideally PNG with a transparent background and at least 256 × 256 px, choose ICO and select the sizes you need (32 px is selected by default). 16, 32 and 48 px cover browser tabs and shortcuts; add 256 px for Windows desktop icons. All sizes are stored in a single .ico file.
