PixNudge

Privacy policy

PixNudge is built so that your images stay on your device. This page explains exactly what happens to your files and what little data the website itself handles.

Your images are never uploaded

All compression, conversion and resizing runs inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your images and their file names are not sent to any server, not stored, and not seen by us or anyone else. When you close the tab, they are gone.

Photo metadata

Photos often contain hidden EXIF data such as GPS location, date and camera model. PixNudge removes this data from output files by default. It is only kept if you explicitly turn on "Keep photo info (EXIF)".

Cookies and local storage

PixNudge does not set cookies. It saves your language choice in your browser's local storage so the site opens in the right language next time. This value never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Visitor statistics

To understand how many people use the site, we may use cookie-free, privacy-friendly analytics such as Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views and collects no personal data, no images and no file names. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the website.

Advertising

PixNudge currently shows no ads. If advertising is added to keep the tools free, this policy will be updated first, and visitors in regions that require it will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are used. Ads will never have access to your images.

Check it yourself

You do not have to take our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools (F12), switch to the Network tab and process an image: you will see that no request carrying your image is made. After your first image is done, you can even go offline and keep working.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
