Frequently asked questions
Does key order matter when comparing?
No. Objects are compared key by key, so {"a":1,"b":2} and {"b":2,"a":1} are the same. In the side-by-side view the keys are sorted so that matching lines line up.
How are arrays compared?
Array items are compared by position. If an item is inserted at the start of an array, the items after it are reported as changed.
Can I compare large JSON files?
Yes. The comparison runs on your device, so it is limited only by your browser's memory. The list shows the first 1,000 differences.
