Frequently asked questions
How does the minifier work?
It uses Terser, the same minifier used by many build tools. It removes whitespace and comments, shortens local variable names and simplifies code without changing what it does.
Can I unminify a minified file?
Formatting restores line breaks and indentation, which makes minified code readable again. Original variable names and comments cannot be recovered.
Does it support modern JavaScript?
Yes. Modern syntax such as arrow functions, classes, async/await, optional chaining and modules is supported. TypeScript type annotations are not; strip them before minifying.
