Frequently asked questions
How do I read serialized PHP data?
Choose PHP → JSON and paste the serialized text, for example a WordPress option or a session. It is shown as formatted JSON. Objects become JSON objects with their property names, including private and protected properties.
Why does it say the string length does not match?
Serialized strings store their length in bytes. If the data was edited by hand or its character encoding was changed, the stored length is wrong. Correct the number in front of the string, or serialize the data again in PHP.
Can I turn JSON into PHP code?
Yes. Under Output, choose PHP array to get a short array such as ['name' => 'Ana']. In the other direction, PHP array code like this is converted to JSON as well.
